Hydraulic force gauge
Our hydraulic force gauges are naturally based on the principle of hydraulic power transmission. As opposed to our digital force gauges, the hydraulic force gauges are easy to use and do not require electricity to be operated.
Hydraulic force gauges are used in a variety of applications and industries such as mechanical engineering and plant construction. They can be designed for occasional or ongoing use. Among the most important tasks that a hydraulic force gauge has to fulfill are controlled measurements pressure forces. To this end, a force acts on the piston, which is then converted into hydraulic pressure. The resultant pressure on the dial gauge can then be read off.
Hydraulic force gauges: Shock protection system
The stainless steel pressure system has been equipped with a unique "shock protection system" so that impacts against the cylinder have only a minimal effect on the measuring mechanism.
Hydraulic force gauge - cost-effective and simple
Our hydraulic force gauges are available in many variants, all of which are simple and easy to use. The essential components that any hydraulic force gauge possesses are the force transducer and the dial gauge. The force transducer is a piston and the force is measured with the dial gauge in either Newtons or Kilonewtons. Hydraulic pressure ensures that the absorbed force can be read by the dial gauge.
Hydraulic force gauge - Field of application
Fundamentally, a hydraulic force measuring device can be used anywhere where pressure forces are to be measured. In most cases, these are static pressure forces. Important areas of application are maintenance measurements and industrial work. To meet various practical requirements, a hydraulic force measuring device is designed either for occasional or for permanent use. Moreover, a hydraulic force measuring device can be very simple or complex in construction. The latter especially applies to a hydraulic force measuring device that is intended for permanent use in industrial or in machinery and plant engineering.
Hydraulic power transmission
A hydraulic force measuring device operates on the principle of hydraulic force transmission. In order for the force acting on the piston to be converted into hydraulic pressure and transmitted to the connected measuring device, the time of force rise must not fall below one second. This limit is precisely defined and should be adhered to in order to ensure flawless function and accurate measurement.
Units of measurement and measuring ranges
The device is scaled in either newtons or kilonewtons. In addition, the measuring ranges that can be displayed by the hydraulic force gauge are very different. This is to take account of the fact that hydraulic force gauges can be used in many areas of industry or manufacturing. For smaller measuring ranges, a small hydraulic force gauge, which can also have a very simple design, is completely sufficient. The situation is somewhat different when larger forces are involved. Here, both larger hydraulic force gauges and larger measuring ranges are required. In addition, a hydraulic force gauge must be resilient, accurate and precise.
